I used Flickr photos for the fried green tomatoes and caprese salad because both times we’ve made them this week they’ve been eaten up before pictures could be taken.
What’s your favorite thing about summer?
A few of my favorite things about summer are sleeping until noon, fumbling down the stairs in my pajamas, pouring a cup of grape juice, and watching HGTV with my big sister.
P.S. That tomato is literally bigger than a newborn’s head.
Tomatoes are my favorite thing about summer too! If only mine would turn. Sadly, they’re all still green.
Yours sound like they’re doing better than mine! So far all of my tomatoes have come from generous neighbors–their plants are producing like crazy, while my few measly plants are still just flowering in containers on my parents’ front porch. I’ve gotten five or six cherry tomatoes from one of the plants, but the other two (not sure of the variety) are just now in bloom. I guess we’ll see how it goes!
