I feel awful that I haven’t posted anything (or contributed to Thing-a-Day) for the past few days. I left town on Friday fully intending to keep up with this while I was away, but all of my time was spent visiting with family (some of whom I hadn’t seen since the summer!) and eating a lot of good food. I did work on some new poems, but they’re definitely not ready to be seen by anyone besides me just yet. I decided to spend a little time this morning making some scheduling and organizational templates on Microsoft Word. Store-bought planners never seem to give me enough space to write everything, and then there’s all that un-recyclable plastic and metal binding left after the planner is used up. On top of all that, the most affordable planners are typically boring at best (and can honestly be downright hideous).
Using the (beautiful) free font Matilde, I made these sweet and simple weekly and monthly calendars, plus a blank to-do list with check-boxes. I’ll probably also use the weekly calendar for meal planning and the to-do list for grocery shopping. Yay! I’m thinking of offering them for download–let me know if you’re interested!
